Template:000 - BandThe Kookie Kutters (Jan 2017 - present) is an American rockabilly band from Medina, Ohio.

History

The Kookie Kutterz baked up their brand of Ohio Rockabilly when Lorna "Sugar" Doone, Lance "Pete" Crackers, and Phillie-O Nelson got together to see if they could recreate the Stray Cats Rant 'n' Rave album in January of 2017. Since then they’ve added originals borrowing from influences like Reverend Horton Heat, Southern Culture on the Skids, Elvis, Tenacious D and Tom Petty. Sugar plays upright bass and can also be seen playing electric bass with Whiskey Daredevils (or during her previous ten year run with Lords of the Highway). Pete plays drums and also currently plays with the Sump Pump Sluts. Phillie plays his Gretsch and sometimes still plays with the Slack Jawed Yokels.
