History
In early 2015, Cleveland based drummer Jesse Schultz decide to start one final project from the ground up. He recruited an amazing, young, lead guitar player, Mitchell Park from Ohio. Together, the two began writing a new kind of music, something different. Jesse and Mitch both felt that the music scene in Akron/Cleveland needed a breath of fresh air. They wanted to change the game. So they did. After a series of fruitless auditions, they rounded out the machine with Jeremy Frederick on vocals and Chris "Sully" Sullivan on bass and backing vocals. The circle was complete.
Putting some of their favorite heavier bands like, "Pantera", "Killswitch Engage", "Lamb of God", and "Avenged Sevenfold" aside, they started to build a foundation that had nods to that style, but reforged these pieces into a more developed melody with more groove and less repetition. This concious and calculated decision laid the groundwork for what is now the formidable DAYOLDHATE. This approach has paid off in their songwriting and has gained them the reputation of a "MUST SEE" live act.
In the relatively short time that DAYOLDHATE has been a full unit, they have compiled a powerful set list with 20+ solid, bonecrushing tracks. Said tracks were launched with a very aggressive and successful social media campaign and gained the band a solid base of dedicated followers, formed a fan club, The HaterNation, launched their website, and have finished up their 4 song EP, "The Farmdale Sessions", which was released in May, just in time for their live debut.
