Club Wow then operated primarily in the Cleveland/Youngstown region, and reportedly played only about one live show per month, including a 1985 showcase in New York City.

While the band did appear on stage live — for instance opening at the Cleveland Agora in 1982 — their main focus appears to have been writing and recording songs rather than extensive touring.

 The group disbanded around 1985.

Musical Style & Recordings
Club Wow is generally associated with the rock/power-pop lineage of its members, given Secich’s history with Blue Ash and Zero’s roots with the Dead Boys. According to Secich, approximately 20 songs were recorded by the band; some of these were later released on CD/DVD by Australia’s Zero Hour Records in 2015.

Legacy
Club Wow remains a lesser-known but noteworthy act in the Ohio rock scene due to its connection with Cleveland punk/power-pop history (via members Jimmy Zero and Frank Secich). The recordings are of interest to collectors of regional rock, underground power-pop, and the broader legacy of Cleveland’s music community of the early 1980s.
